Sasebo to host pair of casino-friendly seminars in September

In Japan and the organization that represents business entrepreneurs in the southern city of Sasebo has reportedly announced that it will be stepping up efforts from next month to help the small community secure one of the nation’s trio of coming integrated casino resort licenses.

According to a report, the Sasebo Chamber of Commerce has allied with the Nagasaki Marine Integrated Resort Promotion Council and is planning to hold a pair of open seminars in September designed to facilitate cooperation between the public and private sectors.

The organization reportedly detailed that the first of these special events will endeavor to assist local companies in drawing up plans on how best to use their resources in order to secure enduring relationships with international casino operators. The Sasebo Chamber of Commerce explained that it expects up to 100 representatives from businesses spread across Nagasaki Prefecture to take part and hear from vendors that already hold such valuable connections.

GGRAsia reported that the second of these exclusive seminars is to be aimed at casino operators and will involve a digital presentation from the Sasebo Chamber of Commerce and the Nagasaki Marine Integrated Resort Promotion Council regarding how these firms can better engage with companies based right across the Japan’s third-largest island of Kyushu. The organizations purportedly stated that attendees will moreover be given the chance to meet with local enterprises and receive insights into staffing, training and procurement procedures.
