Green Jade Games Secures Malta B2B License

Malta-based online casino content developer and supplier Green Jade Games has been granted a B2B license by the Malta Gaming Authority, news emerged today.

Green Jade Games’ newly obtained license will enable the company to supply its products to Malta-licensed online gambling operators that provide their services in regulated markets across Europe and beyond the continent.

Headquartered in Malta, Green Jade Games develops and supplies real-money arcade-style games and slots for the international online gambling industry, including its flagship title Hammer of Fortune. The game features a personalized player hammer that changes with every single spin and can be used by players to knock symbols off the reels. As a result, players are thus offered a second chance to trigger cash pots or free spins.

News about Green Jade Games’ B2B license by the Malta Gaming Authority arrive just days after it became known that the supplier has joined forces with gamification and real-time engagement expert CompetitionLabs to take player experience to the next level.

Under the terms of its partnership with CompetitionLabs, the online casino games developer will deploy its partner’s gamification tools and elements to its full suite of slots. Said elements include missions, rewards, and achievements. Hammer of Fortune would be the first game to go live with the features, it also became known.

Regulated Expansion

Of their Malta Gaming Authority license, Green Jade Games’ CEO, Benedict McDonagh said that obtaining it was “the next step in our plans to provide our games to all of the major online casino operators” in both regulated markets and markets on the verge of regulation around the world.

Mr. McDonagh added that their games are “truly unique and genuinely innovative” and they can now offer them to more online gambling operators, and their players, than ever before.

Green Jade Games’ recently issued Maltese license followed another important milestone reached by the online casino games studio in recent weeks.

Last month, the company was also awarded a license by the UK Gambling Commission that enabled it to provide its titles to operators licensed by the regulatory body and to their UK-based gambling customers.

Here it is important to note that Green Jade Games is the in-house online gaming content studio of gambling operator Mr Green. News emerged last fall that the operator would be acquired by British bookmaker William Hill in a £242 million deal. William Hill closed in on the acquisition this past February.

Of its entry into the UK gambling market through a license by the UK Gambling Commission, Green Jade Games’ CEO said that the move was a “major milestone in our journey as we look to establish Green Jade as a top game developer in regulated markets” and that they were thrilled to be able to integrate their content with UK-facing online casino operators and make it available to local players for the very first time.
